Pet Radiology
We want your pet to be healthy from the inside out at Lakeside Veterinary Clinic. Digital Radiology can alert your veterinarian to problems that are undetected from the outside.

Pet Radiology
Our on-site, modern Digital X-ray equipment provides high-quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. High-quality x-rays can be quickly burned to a CD disk or sent by email when needed.
High-energy radiography beams are directed into the desired area of your pet’s body using radiograph equipment. The radiographic rays will be absorbed by the denser tissues in your pet’s body, such as the bones and teeth, and this will be captured on the computer screen.
Reasons we would advise having digital radiographs taken of your pet are:
- To assess your pet’s health
- To check for bone fractures, joint dislocations, and other injuries
- To confirm the presence of an ingested foreign object
To keep your pet calm and at ease throughout the treatment, we may need to give your pet a sedative or, if necessary, general anesthesia during a digital radiology scan. At Lakeside Veterinary Clinic, this helps ensure that any images obtained are as sharp and readable as possible.
