Sidney
Vet Assistant
Sidney grew up on a family farm in Vienna, Maine which began her love for animals. She started riding horses at a young age and had two horses of her own that competed in eventing. She worked at many barns in the state to get as much experience as she could, whether it was working as a show groom, trainer, or giving riding lessons. She worked in human medicine for many years until she decided to go back to her roots and work with animals.
In her free time, she enjoy hiking, archery, candle making, and riding horses. She currently live in Pittston with her fiancé, her dog, Iko, and two goats, Teddy and Donut.

Dr. Pomroy
Veterinarian
Dr. Pomroy is originally from Newfoundland, Canada and has always been passionate about animals and their health and happiness. Since a very young age, she decided to become a veterinarian and spent her whole life working towards that goal. She grew up around many different types of animals and always had at least one pet, but usually many more! Her educational background includes completing a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Animal Science, at the Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture, in Nova Scotia, Canada. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Atlantic Veterinary College of UPEI, in PEI, Canada. This is also where she met her husband, Brian, a Maine native who focuses on large animal medicine. During her education she began volunteering and working in veterinary medicine and with many different species of animals. Since 2008, she has worked with companion animals, food animals, and lots of wildlife. She began her career as a large animal veterinarian in 2019 in her home province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
She loved her experiences there but decided to focus more on small animal medicine to help create a better work-life balance. Her husband eventually convinced her to move across the border and put some roots down in the Pine Tree state. They reside in Waldo County with their young Belgian Malinois, Akela, and their old man kitty, Happy. They both are excited to add to their fur family as they start their journey creating a homestead. Dr. Pomroy loves spending time with her family near and far, being outdoors as much as possible, and travelling. She also enjoys cooking, playing guitar, and almost any type of live music! She is loving her new veterinary family here at Lakeside, as this is truly a unique and special place. Dr. Pomroy is looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
